May 29 thru Jun 1, Tues thru Fri – 4 Days of Senior Summer Camp

Day 1-Tues, May 29 – Tubing @ $25. County bus departs park at 8am, return approx. 3pm. Tube down the beautiful crystal clear Rainbow River. The relaxing float trip will take approx. 4 hours. Bring a change of clothes for the drive home and plenty of sunscreen for the river. Water shoes are recommended along with a dry pack for your belongings. In case of bad weather, we will visit the Clearwater Aquarium.

Day 2-Wed, May 30 – Ybor Historic Walking Tour @ $18. County bus departs park at 9am, return approx. 2pm. Ybor City Historic Walking Tours will make the colorful history of Ybor City come alive with 90 minute walking tour which features an easy stroll with many stops along the way. We will visit the casitas (cigar rollers homes), Mr. Ybor’s original Cigar Factory, the historic Cuban Club and much more. We will also get the opportunity to visit a working cigar factory where the cigar rolling is done just as it always had been in Ybor City. The tour will even include some ghostly legends of the town’s haunted history. In case of bad weather, we will visit the South Florida Museum in Bradenton.

Day 3-Thurs, May 31 – Marie Shelby Botanical Gardens @ $30. County bus departs park at 8am, return approx. 3pm. Walk on a tour through the diverse Sarasota gardens led by trained and qualified guides. Explore unique flora and learn about the natural world. Price includes an all access pass to the Warhol: Flowers in the Factory art exhibit. In case of bad weather, we will visit the Florida Aquarium.

Day 4-Fri, Jun 1-Dolphin Cruise @ $16. County bus departs park at 9am, return approx. 3pm. Enjoy a leisurely 2 hour cruise down Anclote River into the Gulf of Mexico. The trip will be narrated by the captain to learn the history of the sponge docks in Tarpon Springs. Bring your cameras as we watch for dolphins, sea turtles, tropical foliage, and other wildlife. You will also see the restored and operational Historic Anclote Lighthouse. The boat has a covered roof and restrooms on board. You may bring snacks on board but drinks must be purchased on the boat. In case of bad weather, we will visit St. Petersburg’s Museum of Fine Arts.
